Hong Kong Arcade in Transition
Arcade in Transition is a virtual immersive exhibition that explores how local arcade centres change across different eras. Through a guided scene-to-scene journey, visitors can experience the atmosphere of the arcade culture and understand how shifts in technology and people’s behaviour change in industries, from the crowded, competitive arcades to today’s niche entertainment. By combining research with 3D environment design, the project highlights how the industries adopt and survive in a changing urban and digital landscape.
