Cheung Chau Jiao Festival Museum
This capstone project develops Cheung Chau VR, an immersive cultural experience for Hong Kong’s national intangible heritage, the centuries-old Cheung Chau Bun Festival, which originated from the Qing Dynasty. Leveraging VR technology, it fully restores the festival’s core Taoist rituals, iconic Bun Mountains and vibrant Floating Colors Parade, building a complete four-stage user experience journey. It breaks offline time-space constraints, solves the pain point of superficial public cultural understanding, enables barrier-free in-depth engagement, and innovates the digital inheritance of Hong Kong’s local traditional heritage for culture exploration audiences.
