Redeem the Past
“Redeem the Past” reconnects younger audiences with Hong Kong’s fading pawnshop culture through an immersive VR experience. By placing visitors between a traditional pawnshop and a modern bank, the project highlights how financial systems shape emotion, value, and memory. Through interactive storytelling, symbolic imagery, and spatial contrast, the experience encourages reflection on urgency, trust, and the human stories behind financial decisions. The project preserves disappearing cultural knowledge by transforming it into a digital journey that invites personal interpretation and renewed understanding.
